ABSTRACT
Micro Finance Institutions {MFls) in India are perceived as a life-giving technique for every Self Help Groups (SHGs) in order to ensure the sustainable socio-economic development for the rural India. This research paper attempted to study the Impact of MFls on economic development of rural women through SHGs, the sample size include 1000·respondents from the 100 SHGs in Sivagangai district of Tamilnadu, the study reveals that MFls have influence the socio-economic development of rural women through SHGs. The validity of the results has been tested statistically by applying the appropriate statistical technique.
